A striking period piece set in the sexually repressive and regressive 1950s, Carol tells the sensual tale of a woman (Cate Blanchett's Carol) going through a divorce and the young photographer (Rooney Mara) she falls for. The two protagonists were perfect.

I'm afraid that some very good films are going to be dragged down by the utter bilge that most of the films consisted of.
