This sashay is pure P-town: locals, visitors, drag performers, and even a few pets in rainbow attire stroll together through the heart of town, waving flags and high-fiving spectators. Later that night, the Official Pride Kickoff Party invites you to dance your heart out to pop anthems from these gay icons. Watching the sun come up over Provincetown harbor, still wearing your Pride beads, is a magical calm moment to cap off the celebration.
Support local art: Provincetown is America’s oldest continuous art colony.

Pride Bingo: Kick off the weekend with a drag bingo session hosted by Paige Turner at Governor Bradford pub. It’s informal, fun, and totally free to join (no barricades here!).
The procession ends at the waterfront Boatslip Resort, just in time for the daily Tea Dance – a legendary afternoon dance party on the deck.
It’s a nice break from the loud parties and celebrates the creative soul of P-town.
Bring layers: Early June in Cape Cod can be sunny but cool, especially at night by the water. There is no large vehicle parade with floats; instead, the Pride March is community-driven and accessible, reflecting Provincetown’s cozy scale.
Local Tip: Grab a spot near Commercial & Standish Street by mid-afternoon on Saturday to watch or join the sashay – the whole street becomes a colorful catwalk of Pride

Provincetown packs a lot into Pride Weekend, blending its artistic, quirky flair with Pride themes.
It’s part craft fair, part meetup – a great place to buy local Pride souvenirs and meet community groups.
Queer Comedy Showcase: An evening of stand-up comedy at Town Hall, hosted by local comedian Kristen Becker and featuring queer comics to keep you laughing.
Feet Over Front Street 5K: A Pride-themed 5K run, honoring Commercial Street’s original name “Front Street,” where participants race in rainbow gear through town.
Beyoncé (10 PM):Dance the night away at Red Room with a high-energy extravaganza celebrating the music of two iconic divas.
Saturday, June 7:
Pride Market at Town Hall (11 AM–3 PM):Support LGBTQ+ artisans and vendors at this free event featuring a variety of goods, a cash bar, and live DJ music.
Pride Rally at Town Hall (3:15 PM):Join a powerful celebration of identity and community on the Town Hall steps, followed by the festive “Sashay to Tea” parade down Commercial Street to The Boatslip’s Tea Dance.
Queer Comedy Showcase at Town Hall (8 PM):Enjoy an evening of laughter with performances by Kristen Becker, Jake Cornell, Bailey Pope, and Tee Sanders.
Official Pride Dance Party at A-House (10 PM):Experience one of the country’s first discos with a night of dancing and celebration.

Feet Over Front Street 5K Run/Walk (8:30 AM):Participate in this scenic run/walk from the Harbor Hotel in the East End to the Provincetown Inn on the West End, honoring Commercial Street’s original name, Front Street.

Provincetown Pride Returns For 2025: What To Know
PROVINCETOWN, MA — Pride is set to return to Provincetown for the eighth year starting this week with a full slate of events to celebrate.
Though Boston may lay claim to the biggest Pride month event in Massachusetts, no community is more important to LGBTQ+ culture in the Commonwealth than Provincetown.
Each June during Pride month for the last seven years, the Provincetown Business Guild and many local businesses have hosted events, art shows, parties and more to highlight LGBTQ+ culture.
This year is no different, with events kicking off on Friday and the official celebrations wrapping up Sunday, though local events are scheduled throughout the month.
Among the events are a Pride Market at Town Hall and Pride Rally on Saturday, and the Feet Over Front Street 5K on Sunday.

Rather than a traditional float parade, Provincetown Pride centers on a spirited pride rally and "sashay.".
The community gathers on the steps of Town Hall for an empowering Pride Rally.
Many people book guesthouses or inns several months in advance for Pride. Dressing in layers will keep you comfortable.
