is committed to accessibility for all attendees, with ASL interpreters provided for both the parade and festival entertainment, as well as a designated sensory tent for those who may benefit from a quiet, low-stimulation space. There is a $10 suggested donation, all donations go to Making Pride Happen each year and to support Pride Northwest's year round programming.

The Portland Pride Waterfront Festival and Parade is the single, largest visibility opportunity for our region’s LGBTQIA2S+ community organizations and businesses, where they can attract new supporters and clients, increase their volunteer base, and raise much needed funds.

Join us on June 7th as the Portland Sea Dogs take on the Hartford Yard Goats, and we all celebrate Pride! The parade route will follow Congress Street, turn right onto High Street, and end with a left onto Park Avenue.

We’re an organization run by the community for our community, and we’re looking for your involvement and support to shape the future of Pride Portland and ensure your input is heard!

Depending on where a contingent in the parade is located, contingents can expect to wait 2-3 hours before they enter the parade route. Festival exhibitors range from small high school GSAs, nonprofits and community groups, to regional businesses and international corporations.

The Festival and Parade attract tens of thousands of visitors to Portland each year, bringing significant revenue to the local LGBTQIA2S+ business community and to the city as a whole.

We’re shining a light on the transgender community, at a time when others are trying to push them into the shadows.

The theme is intentionally open-ended. This support includes funding, technical assistance, capacity-building, networking opportunities, and more to support those organizations in maximizing their impact, intentionally working to center the perspectives and efforts of Black, Indigenous and Queer People of Color community organizers.

That’s why our theme this year is “Maine Transcends”.

LGBTQIA2S+ community members travel here from all over the Pacific Northwest to celebrate themselves and each other in what is often the only safe and open environment that they may experience for the year.

Community Resilience Drive

In its role as an intermediary nonprofit organization, Pride Northwest supports and serves as a connector between resources and grassroots initiatives and advocates, who are working on the ground to address (and meet) community needs.

20-30 minutes to complete the parade once you enter the parade route. We all face different struggles, and no one truly knows what someone else might be going through.
